Biography:
| Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1904 and died there in 1984. He studied at the Hungarian Royal Academy of Fine Art with Master Istvan Csok and was heavily influenced by Gyula Rudnay. His work is realistic in style, with rich colors and clear, sharply defined contours. He was also influenced by and became a member of the New Classicism (Novecento) of the Roman School where he studied under a full scholarship from the Collegium Hungaricum from 1938 to 1939. He first exhibited independently 1926 and thereafter annually at the Palace of Exhibitions (Mucsarnok), the Muterem, Mubarat and the Venice Biennale in 1938. He won the prestigious Szinnyei Merse Award in 1930.
