Biography: Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1926 and died there in 2006. He was a graphical artist who graduated from the Budapest Academy of Applied Arts in 1949, studying with Masters Gyula Hincz and Gorgy Konecsni. He began solo exhibitions internationally in 1948 and won Hungary’s Munkacsy Prize in 1960. He often illustrated children’s story-books. He had a unique and powerful style often characterized by surrealism, fantasy, or playful themes.
