Biography: Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1896 and died there in 1962. He was the son of noted painter Antal Neogrady. He studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Art (Magyar Kepzomuveszeti Foiskola) under Master Ede Ballo. He began exhibiting in 1922 at the Nest Club (Feszek Klub), and regularly exhibited thereafter at the Budapest Art Hall (Mucsarok). He painted naturalistic landscapes (characteristically of mountains in winter), countrysides, genre scenes of village life and portraits. The portrait of his own mother was highly esteemed, launching his career. He received a number of juried awards including the Charlemagne Prize and the Janos Horvath Prize.
